Machine Linking and Redlink are two innovative startups focusing on the enterprise linked data sector and working on joint international business opportunities.
“We are looking for multilingual Natural Language Processing providers delivering high quality content processing. After careful benchmarking and consideration we chose to partner with Machine Linking, a startup with a strong language portfolio and state-of-the-art annotation and disambiguation features. This helps Redlink to extend its offering for easy-to-deploy interoperable semantic components”, said Andrea Volpini, marketing director of Redlink.
Paolo Lombardi, co-founder of Machine Linking, commented that “we have taken the path of top-quality semantic processing: the market space is competitive, and a startup like ours can have a future only by focusing on a specific set of tasks and by delivering world-class experience. For the enterprise market we have chosen to rely on experienced partners with a wider offering and Redlink is a perfect match in terms of providing a complete semantic processing workflow and international orientation.”
Redlink and Machine Linking have been performing integration and joint tests in the past months. A product release focused on content analysis and semantic tagging for the news and media publishing is due end of 2013.
Redlink GmbH (http://redlink.co), headquartered in Austria, helps enterprises make sense of their data by semantically enriching, linking and searching the vast amounts of unstructured data. Redlink is the company behind the open source projects Apache Stanbol and Apache Marmotta, and is committed to the wide adoption of open source semantic technologies to support a broad set of mission-critical and real-time production uses.
